Hello my Twitter and FB friends,
I just came back from the Las Vegas Market and I will tell you one thing:
“Trends change all the time”!, so I have decided to share some of the things I have seen.

I have toured Las Vegas Market’s many showrooms and exhibits, scouring for products, looking to see what lies ahead for 2011!

So here is a sneak peek at the emerging trends in the industry unveiled at Las Vegas Market.
Green/ Eco friendly is the BIG trend but NOT the only trend.

Green Bed Linens By HomeSource

Furniture:

The New “High Techy” look is defined by clean lines, clear finishes.
Glass, Acrylic and steel are the materials of choice.

Everything is low: Low seating: low sofas, low cocktail tables, low beds and platforms beds are very popular.

Green and eco friendly products are emerging. Big furniture companies give more options to the consumers:
Sustainable wood and Bio foam.
The next stage in the environmentally responsible evolution is here, and new soy based foams replace conventional oil based polyurethanes

Color: zen trend
Soft blues and greens, soft neutrals and pale colors….
Low VOC C2 paint is the trend. Non toxic and environmentally friendly.
Yet a lot of white, black, bright pink, orange, turquoise are making a presence.

Glamour and elegance were seen in Vegas Market, and glass and mirror were used on end, coffee and dining tables.

Fabric: crisp and elegant
Sheers, silks, satin, ultra suede, leather are back. They are essentially used for furniture, accent pillows, drapes and beddings.
White leather is everywhere

Accessories made of crystal and clear glass for candle holders, votives, round vases and for contrast black and white ceramic and porcelain.

Unusual body forms, themed accessories, metal and glass objects have made their ways.

Black and white are making a come back.

For many, me included the highlight of the Las Vegas Market was marked by Kathy Ireland’s presence.
“Kathy Ireland Home” partnered with Omnia furniture.

Kathy is an amazing entrepreneur and an exceptional woman who will do all she can to help our trade and show her support.

Now, FB Friends and followers this is my advice:
Update your home with new accessories and a fresh coat of paint!
It is amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do!
It remains the least expensive way to give a new look to your space.
Invest in accent pillows, art, and new fabrics
DO WHAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU.
YOUR HOME SHOULD BE A REFLECTION OF YOU AND WHO YOU ARE
BE DARING & OPT FOR A LITTLE CHANGE!
